Normally most of the major FMCG will take part on this so call "Brand Awareness" programme. Big FMCG like Dutch lady, Nestle, Lam Soon, Yeo Hiap Seng, Munchy's etc... This is the only time that all players in the market digest their near expiry goods at the event. hehehehe!
This is the second year that my company participated, they have this activities every month on 13 states. Last September was for Wilayah, and 8th Dec will be in Shah Alam. Well, I would say 98% are all malays, 2% will be others races, and these consumer are not price sensitive, they just grap, pay and go, without consider and compare the price with retailers. Basically, what we do is, to shout out loud our promotion mechanic (like pasar malam). We have to keep selling no matter it's rain or shine, trust me, it's really very tiring, and the working hour are from 6:00am - 11:00pm. THIS IS SO CRAZY ......
with your position, u dun need to be there from 6 to 11pm right?:>
